Adding a Tag and Hold disposition to an order

If a customer cannot provide shipping instructions when they place an order, you can assign a Tag and Hold disposition to the order. This disposition indicates that you should hold the order until the customer can provide shipping instructions. Use these instructions to add a Tag and Hold disposition to a sales order.

  1. Select Sales > Entry > Order.
  2. Complete the fields in the Initiate page, and then click Next.
  3. In the Customer Order Settings page, select Tag and Hold in the Disposition field.
  4. In the Ship Via field, specify the shipping method.
  5. In the Cancelled Date field, specify a date to automatically cancel the order and then click Save.
  6. In the Discount section on the Taxes & Totals page, specify a staging area for the order.
  7. Complete the order.
