Use this report to populate the word index database with data from the main transaction database. The word index database is used to conduct searches in Distribution SX.e.

When you perform a force rebuild, all indexes data is rebuilt and the timestamp fields are reinitialized while preserving any existing rowpointers. When you perform a normal rebuild, missing records are added to the word index database.

If you have rebuilt the word index database for version 10.0 or later, a rebuild is not required for subsequent upgrades because the timestamp fields are initialized by database triggers.

Note: The force rebuild process can be time-consuming. If your main transaction database is very large, a force rebuild could take several days on a slower system.

You can update both open and inactive sales orders or just open sales orders when you run the report. If you exclude inactive orders on the report, they are ignored when users conduct word index searches against the OEEH and OEEL tables. If you include inactive orders, use the invoice date range fields to limit the number of orders being indexed.

When you specify All for the Table option, the report generates a separate report for each table to rebuild. Report Scheduler processes the individual reports using your report queue settings. The reports generated when you specify All are the same as the reports run manually for each table. Each auto-generated, one-time report uses the template options and displays the name of the table being built. For file output, note that the previous output file is overwritten.

For regular maintenance of the word index database, run a stored report weekly with the Force Rebuild option set to No.
