Product Extended Unit Conversion Setup overview

Use this function to set up unit conversions records for individual products. Create unit conversions records to sell, buy, or count products in a unit of measure other than the stocking unit that is identified in Product Setup.
You must create a product record in Product Setup before defining unit conversion information.
You can set up unit conversion records in SA Table Code Values Setup. These records represent common unit conversions that apply to multiple products. If a unit conversion is unique to a product, set up the unit conversion record in Product Extended Unit Conversion Setup. During transaction entry functions, Product Extended Unit Conversion Setup is checked to determine if a unit conversion record exists. If it does, the conversion factor is used to determine the correct price and cost. If it does not exist, the conversion factor from SA Table Code Value Setup is used.
