Enabling report output to Dropbox

To complete this task, both the system administrator and user must perform steps.

  1. The system administrator performs these steps:
    1. Select System Administrator > Administration > Administrator Options > System > General.
    2. Select Interface to Dropbox.
    3. Click Save.
  2. The user performs these steps:
    1. Access http://www.dropbox.com.
    2. Sign up for an account, and then follow the instructions to install the application.
    3. Access http://www.dropbox.com/developers.
    4. Click My apps, and then click Create app.
    5. Click Send email for verification, and then verify your email.
    6. Select Dropbox API and App folder.
    7. Specify a name for your application.
    8. Agree to the terms and conditions, and then click Create app.
    9. Provide the App key and the App secret to your system administrator.
  3. The system administrator performs these steps:
    1. Select System Administrator > Setup > Operator.
    2. On the user's record, click Controls.
    3. Click Generate Key.
    4. Specify the values provided by the user in the User Name (App Key) and Password (App Secret) fields.
    5. Provide the user with the URL.
  4. The user performs these steps:
    1. On the website provided by the system administrator, click Allow.
    2. Provide the code to your system administrator.
  5. The system administrator performs these steps:
    1. Specify the code provided by the user in the Temporary Authorization Key field, and then click Save.
      The final authorization key is displayed in the Dropbox Authorization field.
    2. Click Save.
  6. Optionally, the system administrator can click Test Authorization on the operator record to send a text file to Dropbox. The user can verify that the file was received in the Dropbox application and in the local directory.
