Defining VA assembly product valid values

Segment assembly configuration applies to Configurable assembly-type items only.

  1. Access Value Add > Setup > Product Default.
  2. Select the assembly product.
  3. Access the Assembly view.
  4. Click Validate for an assembly segment.
  5. Specify a description to identify the validation. The description is part of error messaging when the item is ordered.
  6. In the text box, type the valid values for the segment, separating values by a comma. The values specified here are used to validate the segment definition for a product ordered in Sales Order Entry.

    If “blank” is one of the valid values for the segment, leave one blank character in the beginning of the string of valid values, delimited by a comma.

  7. Save your validation values.
  8. Repeat steps these for each segment that you want to have valid values.
