Quantities
If you are setting up Warehouse Manager, and have created one or more bin locations in a warehouse in WM Bin Location and Product Setup, you can edit a record to associate the bin location with a specific product and assign quantities of products per bin. We recommend you run an initial Product Entry Physical Count Report for a quick assessment of quantities on hand. Use the results from this report to establish quantities. After initial setup, you should use WM Transaction Entry to increase, decrease, or move available quantities in a Warehouse Manager bin location instead of WM Bin Location and Product Setup.
You must have already set up the specific product(s) in Product Setup and in Product Warehouse Product Setup.
- If you have set the Allow Multiple Products Per Bin option in SA Admin Options-Products-Warehouse Manager to Yes, the product field is available to add or maintain products.
- If you have set the Allow Multiple Products Per Bin option in SA Admin Options-Products-Warehouse Manager to No, this field is not available after the product has been assigned to the bin. The option is ignored for Unavailable and Staging bins.
- If the bin type in WM Bin Location and Product Setup conflicts with the product's bin type in Product Warehouse Product Setup, you will receive a message: Warning: ICSW and WMSB Bin Types Conflict on This Product (8027).
- If you have specified a building and row (Bldg/Row/Section/Shelf) value in the Restrict To field in Product Warehouse Product Setup-Location for this product, a matching building and row must be specified in WM Bin Location and Product Setup or you will receive a message: Warning: ICSW Building/Row Restrictions Conflict on This Product (8026).
- Committed
-
This field shows the total quantity of products destined to be moved out. Products can be committed as a result of action taken in Sales Order Entry, WM Accept/Review Replenishment Entry, KP Work Order Center Entry, or WM Entry Replenish Primary Bins Report. This field is updated by Sales Entry Pick Tickets Reportand Transfer Entry Print Warehouse Transfer Report. The value in this field can be larger than the On Hand value, and it can also be a negative number resulting from merchandise being returned in Sales Order Entry.
- Maximum
-
This field is for replenishment actions and applies only to Primary bin locations. WM Entry Replenish Primary Bins Report and Purchase Pre-Receiving Report use this value to determine the maximum number of products the bin will hold. This field should not be a negative number or zero.
- Minimum
-
This field is for replenishment actions and is used by WM Entry Replenish Primary Bins Report to determine when the bin needs replenishment. This field should not be a negative number and should be less than the maximum. Purchase Pre-Receiving Report checks this value if the Fill Primary Bin First option in SA Admin Options-Products-Warehouse Manager is No. If the On Hand quantity is less than the Minimum, the bin will be filled. If the option is Yes, the bin will be filled to the Maximum value, regardless of the quantity specified in this field.
- On Hand
-
This field shows the total quantity stored in the bin for this product. You can specify this quantity when you are initially adding bin locations and associating products with the bin location. After Warehouse Manager is implemented, this quantity should match the quantity in Product Warehouse Product Setup. This field cannot be edited if the Allow User to Change Master Balances option in SA Operator Setup-Controls-Accounting is set to No.
This can be a negative number if the Pick Only Primary Bins option in SA Admin Options-Products-Warehouse Manager is Yes. In this case, available quantities of the product may be in non-primary locations. Bin replenishment restocks the primary location based on the WM Entry Replenish Primary Bins Report settings. This field is updated by Purchase Entry Receipt of Inventory, Transfer Entry Receipt of Inventory, WM Accept/Review Replenishment Entry, KP Work Order Center Entry, and Sales Entry Invoice Processing Report.
- Received
-
This field shows the total number of incoming products that have not yet been 'put away' as a result of action taken in the following functions:
- KP Work Order Center Entry
- KP Entry Print Work Orders Report
- Purchase Entry Receipt of Inventory
- Purchase Pre-Receiving Report
- Transfer Pre-Receiving Report
- Transfer Entry Receipt of Inventory
- Transfer Shipping Feedback Entry
- WM Entry Replenish Primary Bins Report
- WM Transaction Entry
Updating in Purchase Entry Receipt of Inventory and Transfer Entry Receipt of Inventorymoves the quantities from Received to On Hand. The value in this field may be a negative number. This field cannot be edited if the Allow User to Change Master Balances option in SA Operator Setup-Controls-Accounting is set to No.
