SA Printer Setup - Settings field descriptions

Fields are presented in alphabetical order within each section.

Settings

Initialization, Close, Compressed, Normal

The values in these fields contain strings of decimal codes used by the system for the proper utilization of the printer or device. You must obtain the decimal strings from the individual device’s operating manuals. All strings may not be required. The most common strings are for compressed print and normal print.

Note:  If you are setting up a cash drawer and there is the need to open an attached cash drawer, the only valid compression string is 007 007 on the initialize string.

Contact your Infor Support representative for assistance in determining the values for these fields.

Bar Code Label Formats

Alternate Size Printer

Specify an alternate printer that print labels that are the opposite size of the printer you are setting up. For example, if you selected small labels for the printer you are setting up, your alternate printer should print large labels.

Because you can only select one printer when printing labels, specifying an alternate size printer ensures that each customer label is printed on the correct size label. For example, if you select a printer that prints large labels when you generate an IB Pick Labels Report, any customer labels within the report that should be printed on a small label are sent to the alternate printer.
