Using local time zone
By default, Distribution SX.e records dates and times of transactions, such as the various types of order documents, transactions, GL postings, shipments, and receipts, based on the server’s time.
If you have multiple locations across the continent that share a common computer system, all transactions in each time zone are recorded using the time of the primary server. If your company requires that business transactions be recorded based on the local date and time, you can change a system option to use the user's time zone to record transaction dates and times in the user's local time.
Select the Use Client Time Zone to Load Date/Time on System
Records option in SA Administrator Options-System-General
to activate this feature. When this feature is activated, the Time Zone is obtained from the
user's Windows' session Date/Time settings. If Daylight Savings Time (DST) applies in the
user's locality, the DST offset is recorded on the user's SA Operator
Setup record so that the correct date and time is used when recording
transactions.
Note: Transactions created before you select the new option are not changed to
reflect the client date and time zone.
